Are you thinking about joining our dance studio? You might feel a little apprehensive because you do not know where you fit in. Perhaps you are a brand new dancer. On the other hand, you might have some experience from other dance schools. Even if you are a competent cross-body dancer, you will easily find your place here. Fortunately, understanding our salsa class levels is incredibly simple. We only offer three distinct levels: Beginner, Improver, and Intermediate.
The Beginner Level
A beginner is someone who has never danced before. Alternatively, you might have taken a few classes elsewhere. Furthermore, this is the perfect starting point if you danced years ago and forgot the basics.
During these sessions, we cover the steps on our Level One Salsa Moves card. Specifically, leaders will learn how to lead, and followers will learn how to follow. Depending on your personal ability and confidence, you will likely spend four to eight weeks in this class. Eventually, when you feel truly ready, you can easily move forward.

The Improver Level
Our second stage is the Improver level. This class is for anyone who knows the basic steps and timing. Additionally, you must understand the fundamentals of leading and following. If you already dance cross-body style, you should definitely start your journey here.
This level concentrates on the partner moves listed on our Improver Salsa Moves card. Because we adjust to our students, the weekly moves depend on who attends. For instance, if we have new improvers, we focus on the simpler patterns. While they look complicated initially, you will soon become familiar with each move. Once you confidently perform the Sombrero, Setenta, and Preciosa on time, you are ready for the final step.

The Intermediate Level
In the Intermediate class, you put everything together. At this point, you can confidently lead or seamlessly follow your partner. Therefore, we introduce moves that are far more complex and intricate. However, these advanced patterns always build upon the fundamental steps you learned previously.
Ultimately, choosing between our salsa class levels should feel exciting, not stressful. If you remain unsure about which class suits you best, please ask Julia or Steve for friendly guidance.
